Upon waking today I saw the positive that I didnt wake up feeling rough as hell, body aching from so much dancing and a mouth like a badgers arse. Why not? Because my Saturday night was Scruffless.
My gigging buddy had been ill and the week and was most gutted that he couldnt make it. At the last minute I had no one to take the ticket so I just wrote it off.....
However I have rallyed together a fine bunch of troops for his gig next weekend. Some the only time I will see over Christmas and some who want to use Scruff as their Birthday doo and some who have never seen him before so as you can imagine I will be in my element.
Arranged Christams day plans by creating a happy medium for all. Off down to the parental unit when I finish up from work. Use their kitchen to do my contribution to The Ranchs Misfit Dinner and have a nice Christmas breakfast with the them before heading back in to Edinburgh. House Muva informed me that I would be missing out on the champagne & c...... breakfast which is insisted apon from Brunch. My first year not at home so lets see what its like. New Year plans are still up in the air and no doubt stay like that until 9pm on the 31st. A very welcome invite to spend it in Brighton was had but I dont think the cash can be found. I think my best New Year has yet to come and its always been pretty shitty time of year to be honest.
So this time last weekend I think I was lying in the snug with a wonderfuly wasted bunch of people. Yup it was decom. Amazing night was had bumping into old and new. Connections had and not seeing enough of some.
